SAINTS-OVER / 圣余价值
This project looks at what remains when the celebration ends. I photograph the afterlife of holidays: discarded Christmas trees on the street, kumquat trees abandoned after Chinese New Year, animals raised only to be consumed for a single day of meaning.
These are lives briefly made symbolic, then quickly forgotten.
These rituals are built on care, generosity, even “goodness,” yet leave behind a trail of neglect. At the end of the day, what we leave behind says more about us than what we choose to celebrate.
